As a weak, weak apology for the prolonged inactivity, here’re my thoughts on the season 2 finale.

Short answer, didn’t care for it.

Long answer,

1. songs had awesome melodies but terrible lyrics (which is what I think of most of the songs on this show. They really need to hire professional lyricists instead of having the screenwriters do it, or at least let Ingram do it).

2. Shining armor, WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOUR FAAAAAACE. Good GOD his face is just… wrong. the eyes… the head model… it’s all just grotesque. Most of the face models for cadence were a little off too, but not as bad.

3. Why, oh why did no one point out that cadence was an alicorn? seems like it’d be a big thing, considering she’s one of three immortal, god like beings. seems like they would have known about her before.

on the plus side, I liked the Vinyl Scratch moment and the design for the changelings and the queen. Very intimidating, if very little build up and a disappointing resolution.

honestly, most of this season has been pretty disappointing for me. Then again, I only liked about a quarter of the first season, too. Still looking forward to the third.
